Shadhin&#8217;s work is shaped by his interactions with the people and communities he collaborates with, as well as his research of the materials he uses in his process. A deep interest in the community traditions in Bengal region and their connection with geopolitics, ecology and colonial history has become a major part of his artistic research and journey. Thus, I had the opportunity to really get a feel for the community and<br \/>enjoy the scenery. We visited local churches, cemeteries, and attended various workshops, which gave us a better understanding of the local traditions and folk artistry.<\/p>\n<p>Feeling inspired by my surroundings I started collecting various pots and pans from members of the community. I chose to sketch onto them picturesque scenes from the village, as an<br \/>homage to the local architecture, as well as to the quaint, day to day, slow living.<\/p>\n<p>My installation, S\u0103cel stories,was part of the \u201cLinia Izei\u201d exhibition at the S\u0103cel Cultural Center. It was made up of 15 collected pots with sketches of respective houses, from the village.
